There are some teachers who think that classroom
management is all about discipline where they have to control the students to
be quiet. One of the strategies of Harry Wong is the greeting of students when
they enter the room which sets up a positive relationship between the teacher
and student. As teacher we must establish routines and procedures in order to
have a well-managed classroom. Teaching these to our students will take 1 week
or it depends on the type of students we have and these should be consistent. When
the routines and procedures are being applied, the teacher’s energy will stay
focus on teaching rather than disciplining the students.
I hope you won't get tired doing that. Best wishes
